Central Vacuum

There are very few people who can admit that vacuuming their homes with any old vacuum is one of their favorite cleaning activities.  What these people do not realize that there is a vacuum that can make all these cleaning chores simple, clean, and almost hassle-free.  The product that we are talking about is the central vacuum.

What It Is

A central vacuum is almost like a whole new plumbing system that can be installed into the walls of your house.  Pipes run throughout the house and are all connected to a central cleaner or canister that is located in any part of the house that you desire.  Usually, people will install the main vessel in the garage or basement.  The pipes that run through the house end with a kind of socket.  All you need to do to use the central vacuum is add an attachment to the sockets.  All sorts of attachments and hoses are available depending on what kind of chore you need to complete.

Advantage

The central vacuum cleaner system is quickly becoming popular.  Think about it; you don’t have to be lugging around any canisters or dragging whole vacuums around the house.  Just bring the attachment that you need to use to a certain part of the house and plug it into the wall where the socket is located connecting to the canister which is either in the garage or basement.  Once it’s plugged in, the central vacuum is activated and you can clean with the greatest of ease.  Another advantage is that there are many attachments available on the market so you can get different brush attachments, extended hoses, etc.  The options are endless and you will be spending much less since most investments will be made only on maintaining the vessel and buying accessories (coupled with the fact that a central vacuum can be a one-time installation).  Disposal of all the dirt collected is also very simple.  All one has to do is detach the vessel in the basement or garage and throw away the contents into a garbage can.  By reattaching it to the main console, it is set for another session of cleaning.

Disadvantage

For homeowners, the installation may be a little pricey.  For the pipes to be placed into the walls, a little reconstruction will be needed.  Thus, the installation is only really very useful if a house is newly built as it can be built into the structure as the house is being constructed.  Otherwise, a construction crew will have to tear down walls just to fit the central vacuum pipes into an already built home.  This can take a lot of time and a lot of money.

The central vacuum is set to be the way of the future, much like central air conditioning, central heating, etc.  These are all-in-one solutions to make life a lot easier and in the long run will help to ease the pain on bills.  If you are a long term type of investor, the central vacuum is definitely a system meant for your home.
